Heritage Society

Bennard Perlman"How else can we guarantee that our generation, and those to follow, will be able to enjoy TV with subjects of substance, yet devoid of lengthy interruptions by crass commercials?"

Bennard Perlman. Heritage Society Chair Bennard Perlman is a respected author, critic, artist and former professor and chair of the art department at the Community College of Baltimore City.

Heritage Society

Members of our Heritage Society are those who name the Maryland Public Broadcasting Foundation or MPT in their will, trust, or other planned-gift vehicle, such as a charitable gift annuity. These special donors are the key to MPT's future, for they help ensure that this network will serve the people of this region for generations to come.

MPT offers a wealth of information about the ways you can remember MPT with a legacy gift. We're available to answer any questions you many have as you think about your legacy gift.

We encourage you to explore how you can have an impact at MPT, including ways you can give. Then visit with one or more financial and legal advisors to find the vehicle that best suits your personal circumstances.

Please notify us when you have made your estate gift arrangements so that we can thank you and offer you all the benefits of membership in MPT's Heritage Society.

Benefits of Membership in the Heritage Society include:

  • Feeling good because you've helped ensure that MPT programming is available for generations to come
  • Recognition in the Heritage Society donor recognition lists (optional)
  • Communiqué, a quarterly newsletter designed exclusively for MPT's Society for Excellence in Television and Heritage Society members
  • Quarterly estate-planning e-newsletters (upon request)
  • Invitations to and priority seating at special station events.
  • Tours of Maryland Public Television for yourself, your family and your friends (on request)
