Maryland Public Television calls independent filmmakers
Entries wanted for Independent Eye series


OWINGS MILLS, MD: Independent film and video producers are invited to submit entries for Maryland Public Television's (MPT) innovative series, Independent Eye.

This six-part series showcases and provides visibility for works from the undiscovered as well as established producers and directors. The series - hosted by Joan Jett - airs annually in April and May on MPT, Saturdays at 11:00 p.m. beginning April 20.

To enter a work for consideration, send your name, address, telephone number, a brief description of your film or video, and a VHS copy to:

Programs selected must be available on Beta format and will be returned after post-production of the series.

All genres - experimental, innovative, cutting edge, features, documentaries, animated shorts, drama, and comedy - are accepted. Deadline for entries is March 1, 2002.
