Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC)
and Maryland Public Television (MPT) team up
Partnership produces third annual Women's Health Conference

OWINGS MILLS, MD: On Saturday, May 18 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., the MPT presented GBMC Women's Health Conference makes its third annual appearance at Marriott's Hunt Valley Inn in Cockeysville, MD. This affordable, convenient conference offers a full eight-hour day of diverse, cutting edge breakout sessions designed to enlighten and empower area women. The GBMC Women's Health Conference features addresses by two internationally respected keynote medical professionals, a continental breakfast, elegant seated lunch, health screenings, prize drawings, and honoree presentations.

"MPT Presents the GBMC Women's Health Conference" is the gathering of strengths by two dynamic partners committed to quality and service. Located in Towson, Maryland, GBMC is central Maryland's leading community hospital, ranking only behind Johns Hopkins in the number of patients it serves. The GBMC Women's Health Conference fuels MPT's ongoing effort to engage, enlighten and entertain the people of Maryland through award-winning television production, and trusted, valued community outreach. "It is the talent and expertise of the GBMC medical community that positions the Women's Health Conference as a first-of-its-kind for MPT," says Rosetta Clay, MPT Special Marketing Projects Manager.

David Lipschitz, MD, PhD, best known as "Dr. David," host of public television's Aging Successfully with Dr. David series, is morning keynote speaker.

Pamela Peeke, MD, MPH, author of the best-selling book Fight Fat After Forty and medical correspondent for PBS' HealthWeek, is afternoon keynote speaker on the topic of stress and weight.

Breakout sessions, continental breakfast, seated lunch, health screenings, gift bag, and take-away health information are included in the $30.00 admission charge.
