MPT Salutes Philanthropy in Maryland

Maryland is nationally recognized for the generosity of its citizens as reflected in the giving of Maryland philanthropists and philanthropic foundations. With over 1,400 philanthropic foundations, Maryland ranks 15th in the nation among states for giving.

As a beneficiary of Maryland's generous philanthropists, MPT offers our thanks and appreciation for the impact they make in the community. Together with our partners, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Maryland Chapter and the Annie E. Casey Foundation, MPT helped recognize several outstanding Maryland philanthropists on National Philanthropy Day.

The theme for National Philanthropy Day 2008, "Change the World with a Giving Heart," is exemplified in Maryland's Outstanding Philanthropist and Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation of the year. Mr. Keith Campbell, founder of Campbell & Company and the Keith Campbell Foundation, was named Outstanding Philanthropist of the year for 2008, and the Sheridan Foundation was honored as the Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation of the year.
