Second Opinion for Caregivers

In our continuing public service to our senior community, MPT is proud to present Second Opinion for Caregivers, a public education campaign on caring for your loved ones through serious health issues.

The Second Opinion series focuses on health literacy in a way that is relevant and accessible to both viewers and to physicians, in a format that engages and entertains viewers. Three special episodes focus on supporting caregivers through the complexity of the medical system, financial issues and family tension:

May 10 at 11:30am
Alzheimer's Disease: A Caregiver's Journey

May 24 at 11:30am
Kidney Disease: Caring for Someone with a Chronic Disease

June 28 at 11:30am
Caregiver Burnout

Watch these episodes online.

Second Opinion is the award-winning PBS health series airing weekly on MPT, Sundays at 11:30am. Produced by WXXI Public Broadcasting and University of Rochester Medical Center, Second Opinion improves doctor/patient communication and empowers viewers to take charge of their healthcare.
